Thanks but the idea that a UV filter would take out a significant amount of
light from a very low Noctilux type situation is an interesting one.
But it could go either way. My instincts want me to leave a huge window pane of
glass off the front of a lens, expesially a big one.

I'm very interested in what Jim will have to say about this today, his part two.

Interestingly pro and con UV filter people are both taking Erwins post of a few
days back as a confirmation of their preconceived views.
