Subject: [Leica] OT: Digital Muench

I've just read the latest _Outdoor Photographer_ which
has an interview with the father/son team of large-format landscape photographers David and Marc Muench.

Except for the field equipment their workflow is all digital. They have their own drum scanner, a couple of G4 Macs (400 & 500 MHz) and 350 Gigs of RAID storage. I've raved about the potential of the digital process, the ability to make the prints look _exactly_ like the original slide, the ability to get rid of dust & scratches once and for all, and the Muench team does the same, with one big difference ... once they've tweaked the file to their satisfaction and archived it they toss the transparency out. <Gasp>.
