may I suggest instead a Canon 1v with a Leica R lens adapter?

their TTL -- both flash and ambient -- will still work with the R glass in stop
down mode, and you will also have the option of going AF when you need it.

my choice for a 2nd body in this setup would be the Leicaflex SL -- offering an
inexpensive route to a mechanical shutter
