 "Why don't they make gravestones
cheerier?"

In UK they do make an effort Martin, Some of my favourites are

"Here lies (xxxxxxx) a waiter ... God finally caught his eye"

"Here lies the body of my wife (xxxxxxx) ... Ha Ha Ha Hee Hee Hee"

"Beloved husband (xxxxxx) a dentist ... Filling his last cavity"

"Here lies (xxxxx) moneylender ... Do not jingle coins .. let him RIP"

I have often thought of producing a coffee table foto book of gems like
the above. However, skulking around English churchyards with a Leica
is not on unless I can come up with a good disguise.
