Sure it would be little point in using tripod, slow film or stopped 
down lens if the photograph would be lost in the process. Could one 
even speak of using tripod, slow film or stopped down lens if the 
photograph would be lost?

But, ...would you use tripod, slow film or stopped down lens if that 
made the picture better?
