I had a Summaron, and listened to the 'talk' about how the Summicron was SOOOO MUCH BETTER! Horse Pucky! I sold it, got a Summicron, discovered that the Summaron that Sherry had cleaned did as well as the Summicron for the most part, and I actually went out and got another one, since I use the LTM so much as a 'tote' camera! I have always come back to the older glass- expecially the 5cm Elmar/3,5 since all these lenses are really creditable users when cleaned of 50 years of schmutz and haze! I use Tri-X and HP5, so I guess a lot of the advances of the last 25 years are missed on me, but I will have to chime in that the Summaron as well as several other lenses are not all that expensive (Hear that, Stan?) and can form some really nice images! Dan ( We don't get older, we get better!)
