The one I saw on the web image of the front page was of three armed soldiers dressed in fatigues, being caught under fire. It sounds like the shot Peter and at least one other person are referring to is the one of the father shielding his young son just before they were gunned down by Israeli troops. Given that you saw this in the hard-copy paper, and I saw what amounts to a scan of the front page, does this mean the NYT puts out more than one edition on a given day, with different photos?
