Welcome back to the LUG, Marc, your expertise has been missed.  Other folks
have taken up your bloody cudgel, but nobody has stepped forward to bless
long lenses and provide historical perspective on history and the law.

Excuse me?  This is fascinating if true:  the old Zeiss Ikon plant at
Stuttgart has been swamped with orders for many years.  Zeiss must be doing
even better than I had realized, if they have to farm out their eyeglasses!
 Or, conversely, were these the FRAMES which were made in the East, the
lenses coming from Rochester or Oberkochen or Stuttgart or, heavens!,
Petrograd!
