If the Noctilux has amazing picture quality over and above the `lux and `cron, then I will buy it. Is there a previous archived thread comparing the lenses? Has there been a general consensus on the LUG about the best 50mm lens? As I'm slightly disappointed in the 50mm `lux, (in a `damn, I only won one million on the lottery instead of two million sort of way), I would buy another 50mm if the image quality is superior. Many thanks, Matt. - ---------- >From: Steve Beyer <steve@beyerphoto.com> >To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> >Subject: Re: [Leica] 35mm, 90mm, and now 50 mm? >Date: Thu, Sep 21, 2000, 3:56 pm > > Hi Matt, > Yes it is a pain but when you get back the pictures it all seems worth > it. > > Steve > >> From: "Matt Morgan" <mattmorgan@pdseurope.co.uk> >> Reply-To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us >> Date: Thu, 21 Sep 2000 08:40:47 -0800 >> To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us >> Subject: Re: [Leica] 35mm, 90mm, and now 50 mm? >> >> Oh oh....that's like a red flag to a bull.<g> >> I've never used a Noctilux, but the one time I've actually held one years >> ago, it seemed slightly too big for the Leica M ethos.
