For the book, everything was set up in advance (and I mean everything). They just handed him the camera and told him which button to push. I am not making this up! He did sometimes shoot with his own Leica M but mostly he was just given the camera of whoever set up the shot. A lucky break for him and he seems to have run with it. Good on him.
