Had every intention of using it for an assignment, but didn't get it until today (long story) - over a month later. Suffice to say, the assignment is done and over with and I no longer need a M6 (or at least not one that is in this condition - a solid EXCELLENT.) Here is how the eBay seller described the camera (and it's accurate, as far as I can tell!) "You are bidding on a Leica M6 black body (serial number1690430) including the body cap & Leica box. The camera has been put to use (was that what they were made for?) and was last serviced in July 1998 (Cleaned Lubricated & Adjusted, with documentation). The leather is intact & looking great. The bottom plate still has the protective factory plastic. The top plate shows some paint wear & one very tiny ding. The finder is very bright & accurate. The shutter looks & sounds right at all speeds. The meter works well. Cosmetics rated EX." Willing to trade (plus cash, of course!) this M6 with someone that has of a "USER" M4-P body. Would like to find one that's been serviced recently to save me the expense (and head ache) of having the body CLA'd. My asking price is $1250 (OBO) and this includes shipping/insurance via UPS Ground (delivery time will vary between 2-7 days depending on how far away you are from Hawaii!) to anywhere in the US.
