I on the other hand, have been patronizing a small shop in Fresno CA where they *overhaul* a Leica shutter for $175.00 or less. It is a father and son operation that has been in business since the 50s (I think). I have total confidence in them and have had many cameras and lenses repaired by Floyd and Tom. Floyd is a WW-II machinist and has made for me custom retaining rings for view camera lenses on his lathe for $10 (maybe I should not talk about this). For years I resisted divulging their existence lest my repairs would not be done in one week or less. Now Tom tells me that their work load is lighter and that I take precedence, therefore, here goes: Jensen Camera Repair 2014 Tulare Street, Fresno, CA 93721-1918 (559) 264-3993 Do mention my name, you will be treated right. Now, if you are not comfortable with a non-specialty shop, here are two well known Leica specialists: Sherry Krauter Golden Touch Quality Camera Repair 118 Purgatory Rd., Campbell Hall, NY 10916 (914) 496-8834 krauter@warwick.net Keith's Camera Repair & Restoration 3312 Woodmont Drive South Bend, IN 46614-2374 (219) 291-1133 Regards, Joseph Codispoti San Luis Obispo, CA - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger L.
