Not likely - the flare I objected to happened when the sun was actually in
the frame.  Otherwise the flare performance was pretty good.

I initially got the GR1 when I had an M3, hoping to use it as a Leica
substitute with a wide angle lens.  Let me tell you, after a year with an M3
and a DR Summicron, I really felt like I was slumming with the GR1.  I'm not
doing anything important with my photography these days, so the process of
shooting tends to be where I get a lot of my satisfaction.  For this purpose
the GR1 left a whole lot to be desired.
