She had used a Summicron for the last umpteen years most successfully, she showed excellent prints usually 12" x 16" at many exhibitions I saw. There was a Leitz adapter to facilitate this, like the close up adapter for the camera, it mounted the rear end of the collapsed lens barrel onto a tube which then terminated in a 39mm screw fit. Sadly she died last year and her enlarger along with the adapted lens was sold on to the daughter of a doctor through 'my' little magazine. regards, Jem - -----Original Message----- From: apbbeijing@yahoo.com [SMTP:apbbeijing@yahoo.com] Has anyone here ever used a Leica M lens for enlarging their photos? I recall reading that Leitz used to recommend the Summicron 50 for very large enlargements (beyond the what is it 2-12x range for which most enlarging lenses are optimised)? Adrian Bradshaw
