Probably pretty close, especially if you are making it yourself in a
bodycap for use directly on a body. Optimal diameter for 50mm distance from
the film is around 1/4mm to 1/3mm, and for 125mm distance about 1/2mm. You
have to get to 500mm distance before 1mm diameter starts being the right
size. The best thing is to find/get hold of a micrometer, and measure some
sewing needle diameters. Then you can tell what you are doing, and it makes
it easy.

At body cap distance on an RF Leica you should probably try for about
0.2mm. The most important thing is to use very thin material and have the
hole as round, smooth and free of burrs as possible.....and stay away from
that Tech Pan!
