Hans,

although there may be several LUGers who can give you hints and suggestions,
the best would be to meet the natives who can point you in the direction of
places to see and photograph that visitors could not find on their own or
through the many books available.

I visited Tuscany last October and was lucky to be the guest of two local
families (Siena) who not only sent me and took me to many photogenic spots,
but gave me an appreciation of the region's history, lore, and customs.
I learned nuances about the Palio that I could not have by merely reading a
book or watching the race.

Buon viaggio.
Joe

Rapidwinders plus 21-35-50-90 mm lenses and FP4, Tri-X and Velvia film. Like
I usually do, I will bring two photo bags. One big with room for everything
and one small for only two cameras with 35 and 50 mm lenses. Most of the
time I will be using the mini-equipment, as I like to move around without
breaking my back. The price for using the M3:s is that I will have to carry
an extra goggled Summicron 35, maybe a bit silly, but never mind. My M2:s
will be resting at home this time...
