We must have married twins separated at birth....Back when we lived on LI and the kids were little, my wife would send over a platter of cookies (out of a box) to the annual teacher-student picnic - With a doily under the cookies! She was known for the doilies...Didn't matter what was on 'em! If I put my camera down on a table in our family room the next thing I know it's back in the bedroom, on my dresser, with a nice set of little finger prints on the viewfinder window - I'm thinking of electrifying it somehow...:-O B. Ted- I go for half measures! I use the bottom half of the M6 case that came with one of my cameras since it tends to protect both the camera, and the furniture on which I set it! She Who Must Be Obeyed is one of these- "Use the coaster, Dahling!" types, and if I put a nekkid camera down on the furniture without a t least a doily, I catch it! And the bottom of the NRC looks better than using black tape to affixe a doily on the camera!
