I thought it performed well, but then I bought a 50DR Summicron and the 50DR outperformed in every aspect the summaron. So I traded the summaron for a first generation 35 f/2 Summicron and I think it's far better. I don't know if the 35/2.8 Summaron performs better than the 35/3.5.
