I have a leader trimming template and just measured it.   It has a cut
format which creates a tongue that is 95mm in length counting the arc that
returns from the tongueline forming an arc back to the edge.  I have never
had a problem with my Leica LTMs, including my IIIg, when I have used this
type of template.
