I am using an LPL 4500 enlarger with dichroic head which I have carefully aligned, and a 50mm Apo Rodagon. Occasionaly the left hand side of the print will be out of focus. The area affected, on an 8x10 print, is about 1 inch (25mm) wide, and is a straight line down the edge. The entire image is sharp except for the edge which looks kind of smeared. It's always the same size and place. It happens with photos taken with different lenses and bodies, so I'm pretty sure it's the enlarger. Any ideas? The only thing I can think to try is a glass carrier-maybe the negatives are not flat. Help.....it's making me crazy. Richard Wasserman
