I have also recently experienced this problem with my M6, winds to frame
15 then locks up but fine with no film in the body. I took it in for
repair and was told that it is not unusual, a spring in the winder
mechanism gone awol apparently. I had it repaired and cla'd for £ 90.00
by Classic Camera in London and it is now smooth as silk.
