I had a TLR that I had loaded with film and completely forgot about for
a few weeks.  I was in the tropics at the time.  Somehow, some of the
chemicals on the film migrated to the rear element and ruined it beyond
repair.

Maybe the shutter curtain will protect a 35mm lens.
