If you think that the prices are the same in France and in Germany, you have not
looked in the right places. An airport shop is never a good place to buy cameras
or electronics anyway. At Foto Lambertin in Cologne you can buy a new M6TTL for
3.997 DM (2.050 EUR), which is considerably less than the price of a new M6 in
France. Likewise, you can find second-hand M6s for less than $1700 in Germany or
the Netherlands.
