At work we buy T-Max in the 50 roll pro paks -- it's much more convenient and 
with no individual boxes it's a little more environmentally friendly. I hate 
to admit it but although I do the photo supply buying I have no idea what the 
stuff costs -- something less than $4 a roll I know but not exactly sure how 
much.

It's like buying a piece of equipment. But it goes under the heading of: 
INVENTORY.
An unappreciated necessity. A plumber would know that.
