I have to report on the Sling that I received today from Lutz Konermann.
This is one of those accessories (like Tom A's Softie) that costs a
pittance, is so amazingly useful, and so obvious (once you see it) that you
wonder why they haven't been around for decades. Lutz has posted here
recently that he is running a deal on the Slings, but for those of you that
missed it or deleted it, his site is:

Anyway, it forms two loops for you to insert your middle and ring fingers,
slips over the ring lug on the right hand side of the M camera, and allows
you to reinstall your neck strap if desired. You carry your M cupped in
your right hand and your index finger is naturally positioned for the
shutter release (well, mine is; your finger may differ). An added benefit
is that it provides added protection against the wear of the strap rings
against the M body (right hand side).

I suppose it would work on the left hand lug, but you would have to have 12
inch fingers to focus the lens.

Anyway, it is a neat gizmo and is the perfect stocking stuffer for those
LUGnuts that you aren't about to give a new Noctilux.
