You can choose to use it as you would your normal set of darkroom tools and tricks, i.e. dodging, burning in, using filters, spotting, etc., and thus use it to produce a print that fulfills your vision of the scene you captured...or, you can use it to move objects around, add and subtract elements, etc....in other words, alter reality. The first use is, from a journalist's perspective, completely legitimate. The second is abhorrent.... Just remember, "PhotoShop doesn't alter reality, people using PhotoShop alter reality."...(Shame on me! ;-)
