I don't know why this creates such a sensation, and the fellow who bought this black paint specimen is certainly not a "moron."  It is a collector's item, that is all.  I happen to know him, and he is certainly not a moron.  He is very astute.  You only wish you had a single piece of his collection, which he would gladly show you.

Is the fellow who pays top price for a Noctilux 1.2 when a new 1.0 can be had for less a moron?

For that matter, are we all morons for paying more for a single Leica lens than an entire system costs of another brand? 

Sorry, it is just that I don't like my friends being called morons.
