The act of buying cameras requires a whole different set of creative
energy that shooting with them. There are plenty of people who seem to
have little patience for the latter. Avoid that trap. <SNIP>

That's about says it. Plenty! It is quite fun, if you can do it.
As for 50 summicron/summilux, I think the summicron is better for most
reasons given, but much more so it's more compact. It depends on your
situation (good thinking...) I find this an easy answer. Price. Not worth
it, learn how to shoot at 1/15 sec - that's easy compared to the money...
But sure, it's a lot extra bucks and it has proven, if anything to be better
or as good as the summilux and so.
I personally find the bulk the issue. I want to be able to get in my car
and not have the lens get stuck in the steering wheel. On the other hand,
if you need the stop, perhaps (if you can do it) you should resolve this by
going for the Nocti - this will certainly get rid of the uneasiness in the
stops difference as you will be almost in another ballpark, or something,
than your consideration for the summicron. You will then have the
capability to quite substantially utilize the capabilities and differences
in opportunities involving low available light. Either or, I'd like to be
asking this too...
