What are the popular recommendations for on-the-fly filtration. I'm not going to have the time to carefully correct the lights; I just need to tone down the green. Anyone have experience with the B+W FL-Day? What about a CC40M? (No one seems to have off-the-rack 39mm and 46mm CC30M's). Thanks, Rob Schneider >> I use FL-D's, they work fairly well. There's also a FL-W (for the "warm white" fluorescents). The crux of the problem CC'ing fluorescent lighting is that many places end up with a mixture of cools, warms, and daylights, and that is further compounded by the fact that fluorescents change color balance over time as they're used (and many are on 24/7). (In my office we use Duro-Test Daylight fluorescents and change them annually. By the changeover date, they've developed a noticeable greenish cast.) Bottom-line is if color correction is a major issue it pays to have a color meter and a full set of cc filters. Otherwise you'll probably end up with some slight cast no matter what. Nowadays it can usually be removed digitally. DT
