The 4/50 Focotar-2, Leitz 17582, is a lens of epic reputation. It was a
six-element Gauss design produced between 1975 and 1982, and is rather
rare. The 2.8/40 WA-Focotar for the V-35 (no Leitz or Leica catalogue
number which I have yet uncovered) is even better: this is a five-element
lens.

I have used the Focotar-2 and loved it. I like the WA-Focotar even more.
