It was a six-element Gauss design produced between 1975 and 1982, and is rather rare. The 2.8/40 WA-Focotar for the V-35 (no Leitz or Leica catalogue number which I have yet uncovered) is even better: this is a five-element lens. I have used the Focotar-2 and loved it.
