There's a certain immature mind-set which is exemplified by the "my 
camera has more features than yours" syndrome, which perhaps 
unconsciously and certainly erroneously, makes "features" a 
measure of status as well as excellence. Ironically, many of these 
same people classify Leica users as old fogies who are hanging 
onto an outdated relic merely for the sake of status. Some of these 
people seem so far removed from awareness of the simple basics of 
photography (focus, aperture, and shutter speed) that one wonders 
how they are able to take pictures at all. I suppose the fact that they 
can indeed produce photographic images is mute testimony to the 
marvels of modern technology, which to some extent compensates 
for a lack of photographic savvy. Rather sad, actually.
