Have you tried Kinderman (Leica Canada) ? I had two CLA's done

I have tried them in the past, but I found them very expensive. Sherry did a
good job fixing the current problems on my M6.

I once sent Kindermann a lens (90mm 2.8) that had got slightly dented. They
said they couldn't fix it and sent it to Leica Germany (at a cost of $80.00
to me). Who then quoted me about 900.00 for a repair.

I sent it down to the States to a private repairer and got a perfectly good
job for 220.00

Plus, I was also pretty frustrated to find Kindermann/Leica Canada offer NO
professional support when my current M6 did pack in the middle of an
assignment in Central America. No possibility of loaning equipment or
anything. In fact leica USA did offer to help, and were much more helpful. I
guess Kindermann must think there are no professionals using Leicas in
Canada!

I think the only way to go is Tina's route - take 5 M bodies just in case
(but then she usually drops some in a river!!).

Maybe I'll give Kindermann a try for CLA's next time though?
