Subject: [Leica] More C41 problems...

I just looked at my second batch of C41 films processed in my Jobo. I
was shocked to see numerous black specs in the negatives when I looked
at them with a loupe. We are talking something else than dust. The
emulsion side of the negative feels totally rough to the touch; it is as
if there are tiny crystals all over the emulsion. The two films are a
roll of Kodak T400CN and a roll of Agfa 200 colour negative film; both
are similarly afflicted. When I processed the first two rolls in the
same chemistry (Tetenal C41 Mono) I had no such problem. I was
meticulous in keeping to the process temperatures and times with both
batches. Does anyone have any idea what can have caused this?
Fortunately, the ICE feature of my Nikon scanner removes 99% of these
specs, but the negatives are certainly unprintable in a tradional
enlarger.

Thanks in advance for any help/ideas.

Nathan
