Subject: [Leica] Heliar and Skopar tests

Just FYI...the 15 May issue of Amateur Photographer has a test of the
15mm Heliar and 25mm Skopar. Especially the Heliar gets really rave
reviews, with a score of 90%, one of the highest I have seen in this mag
for any piece of equipment. Optical quality gets 28/30. The Skopar also
gets 90% combined, with an optical quality score of 27/30. The article
concludes; "Even the most besotted Leica user could find a use for these
lenses. After all, Leica has never produced a lens to match the 15mm of
the Voigtländer, and the 21mm f4 Super Angulon that Leitz produced is
about the same price as a laser-guided bomb."

I hope Erwin gets a chance to test the Heliar soon.
