The 50mm f2 Summicron-R (11 215) with built-on extending lens hood used the following: 13 374, an E55 screw-in standard (linear) polariser OK on the Leicaflex Mk1 13 357, an E55 screw-in circular polariser, which had to be used on subsequent Leicaflex's and R series, due to the fact that false readings would be obtained with linear polarisers due to the polarising effect of the beam-splitter in the metering system. but, just to confuse, this later lens was provided with an accessory adapter (14 225) for series 7 filters. Hope this makes things clear, or at least non reflective ! John >Did Leitz or Leica ever offer a Series VI polarising filter for the >50mm f2 Summicron-R of the Leicaflex?
