Hi, Mary -

I just find that I'm, as Eric says, an M type of photographer. The R8 is a
wonderful, very heavy, bulky, hard to carry, noticeable camera when
compared to the M. The only reason I bought one was to get the Macro 100
APO lens which is fantastic. I use it for flowers and other close-ups but
can't imagine dragging it along to Honduras or other developing countries.
I did take it to the Czech Republic in December and January, but seldom
used it because I had to carry a larger camera bag if I wanted to lug it
along. 99% of what I want to photograph I can do with the M's. I'll
probably keep the R around but not try to take it on trips. The older I
get, the less I want to carry!!

Leically,

Tina
