By definition, and being really, really picky, if you adjusted the color, contrast and tone ( as well as sharpness) in Photoshop, they have been digitally manipulated. Without changing content at all. Nothing unethical about that. Unsharp mask restores (can, it is easy to overdo) sharpness that scanning process reduces.
