You need to get up to date. Erwin's tests prove the 21 Elmarit ASPH is 
better than all previous 21s and it's a retrofocus design. And other recent 
lenses (28 Elmarit R and M) are better than they non-retrofocus 
predecessors. Maybe they might be able to create new true wide angle 
lenses, and then it could be tested, but the proof now is that retrofocus 
lenses are the state of the art.
