Dear Martin,
It is possible that you have water with a high mineral content and enough of
it is adhering to the film to leave visible deposits. I have seen a
suggestion to spray the film with distilled water after hanging it to dry.
The idea is to wash away all of the cruddy water and replace it with pure
water. If done properly there is nothing left on the film after the water
runs off or evaporates.
Must try it.
