[Leica] RE: Scan's

While we are waiting for Paul Schiemer's scan tips, I hope some others add
to this topic. Since I have been in this business I have always found that I
have to adapt my shooting technique to the medium. Learning the capabilities
of various films and how they will print or be reproduced, is part of being
a photographer. My limited experience in digital conversion has seemed to
indicate that images with more gradual curves seem to fair better. In
response to this I am using more ASTIA less Velvia and have had a fair
amount of success with Portra 160 NC. But I'd like to hear from Eric and
others who deal with this combo (film-scan) everyday.
