It's a nice idea, but a few months ago I asked this very question of the
people at SRB, and this is the reply:

"Dear Mr Morton,

The difference in the film plane/flange register lengths of the Leica R
and
Nikon systems is 0.5mm. This means that for focus to infinity, a Nikon
lens
must be mounted 0.5mm inside the Leica R body - which is obviously
impossible.
For infinity use of a Leica R lens on a Nikon body, you would need an
adaptor
which is 0.5mm thick, which is also impossible.

Whether by accident or design, Leitz have made it so that interchange of
their
equipment and that of other manufacturers is very difficult.

I am sorry to be unable to help.

Sincerely,

Ian R Broomhead - SRB FILM SERVICE"
