Yes, Jim, this would be the ideal. The R6 is very much like the FM 2,
but as you said it mounts in correct direction and MOST importantly
focuses the correct way.  Not the bassackwards way Nikons work.

If she ever tries to switch from Nikon to Leica she will have an all new
learning curve on her follow focusing since they are opposite from each
other.
