Subject: [Leica] RE: R3 'sweetest deal'

I think the sweetness of the deal comes in the selling price, to be had
from 150 English pounds.
I bought one for 40 pounds (knowing it was reading 2 stops under on the
exposure) and now it doesn't read at all...
But it still works at the flash sync speed, so if you want 'the cheapest
Leica', for 40 pounds its still cheap...
Others (R3s) can run and run but if you wish for greater reliability I'd
choose the 'workhorse' Leicaflex SL, found frequently (if worn) at 200
pounds (and up) it has not got the inherant problems that the R3 suffered
from. Another bonus is that the 2 cam lenses are generally cheaper than
the later 3 cam versions.
