I guess I asked for that!  ;-)   But seriously, did the breakdowns occur
soon after purchase, implying a problem in manufacturing,  or did the
breakdowns occur some time later, implying premature wear?

One thing is for sure, I don't expect to hear of too many M3 meter failures!
