A lot of my photo stuff requires very quick, unobtrusive metering and response, and having to wait for the thing to spool up would've been a pain in the rump. Much to my surprise, the Luna-Pro Digital F is nearly instant. All you do is press any button (centrally located "M" for really quick light check) and voila! there ya go! The delay involved -- reputedly -- with the Sekonic was a big reason I shied away from it. in fact, I just returned from Walnut Creek where I used it exactly like this. Took but an instant. The other good part is that the Gossen takes a plain ol' AA battery, available anywhere. The power consumption is said to be practically nil; maybe a battery or two a year? That one, though, I cannot confirm yet. Nothing would tik me off like a dead battery right in the heat of battle -- spare one on hand or not. After all, sometimes you don't have the luxury of taking time to put a new one in and must resort to guessing if you want the shot. Fine probably for B&W; nuh uh for slides. Hope this all helps! Happy lumen chasing! Scott
