Subject: [Leica] 2x extender R disappointment

First, my thanks for the helpful comments from all directions. The
consensus seems to be that there's no inherent design fault here, but

Has anyone actually used a 2x with a 90/2 Summicron R as I have? It may be,
as Henning says, that this particular combo doesn't work too well. This,
BTW, is the original 2x converter specifically for the SL and SL2, not the
later ASPH.

I'll try it in combination with a 50/2 and a 180/2.8 and see whether
there's any improvement.

Reports later.
