Subject: [Leica] 2/50 DR Summicron

I am quite certain that the optical formula of the DR Summicron was
unchanged through its existence. It is almost certain that the coating
composition was changed from time to time, as is the rule with virtually
all lenses -- almost every manufacturer varies this with some frequency.
But all that a change in coatings would cause is a change in the colour
transmission of the lens: it would have no effect whatsoever on the
sharpness, contrast, or other optical parameters of the lens.
