How damn hard is it for the village idiot (designer here) to "build" a new color using Pantone!!! Why not use the best photo then build your stinking colors from the damn photo!!!! Another one I run into alot is word smiths who refuse to reword something and want a different photo because it doesn't "fit" the headline. The photo works with the story as a whole, but not the 3 or 4 words the "writer" chose for his head. Hell he is sitting at a damn computer not out in the trenches getting sweaty cussed at and sometimes shot at. HE can REWORD his frigging headline IMHO. Sorry I'll get off my high horse now. This just struck a raw nerve with me as there are WAY too many village idiots out there who look at photos in this manner. On a different note is Joe Gentry still at the Orange County Register? I started on staff with the Gwinnett Daily News in Atlanta right after he left and heard many great stories about how good he was to work with. Seeing that you work out that way got me to wondering what happened to him. Harrison McClary http://people.delphi.com/hmphoto
