With my Canon F-1's at least, I do indeed have a slightly different 
negative image size based on the lens used, it is most noticeable with 
extreme wide angles or long telefotos.  It's not a big difference though. 
 What you want to look at is the depth of the film guide rails from the 
aperture mask.  The greater the distance, the more change you will see 
from lens to lens.  The  M-6 has roughly twice as much space as the 
Pentax, Nikon and other cameras I checked in the office.  It is about 
equal with my F-1fn.

I've been using Beselar full frame carriers which are great for being 
able to work with the whole negative.  Great that is, until you nudge the 
easel enough to give a slight black border along one side.
