No offense Tom, but it seems to me the operative phrase in your post here
is, "Although I have never used one...''  

If you had, you would know the 50 Summilux M is a very fine lens, producing
superb images at full aperature. Try one made anytime in the last, oh, 25
years.

 I doubt any failings in your photographs will be due to the lens. Despite
what your testers may say.
